What does ABCD stand for?
Anti-Bullying and Celebrate Diversity - the core mission of the Institute.
Is there a registration fee?
No, the Institute is a free event that is open to the public. Registration is required to secure your spot in the institute.
When is the last day to register?
The last day to register with food options is a week before the day of the Institute, which would be Friday, March 23, 2018. If you are bringing your own lunch, you can register for the Institute until the day of. We ask that you register via our website to facilitate the registration process.
Will lunch be provided?
Boxed lunch will be provided to registered students of UW-Fond du Lac, who have indicated on the registration form to receive a boxed lunch.
What are my lunch options if I am not a UW-Fond du Lac student?
Boxed lunch is available for purchase upon request. During registration, indicate if you would like to purchase a boxed lunch, along with any dietary restrictions. On the day of the event, we will be collecting $5.00 at the door, which you can pay with cash or check (no credit cards). There is not an ATM machine on campus, and you will need to use the bank down the street or nearby gas stations, so please plan ahead.
What are concurrent sessions?
During each concurrent session, there will be two presentations to choose from. As a participant, you will choose the presentation that interest you more between the two strand of presentations; strand A is more focused on research expertise, and strand B is more focused on the practical expertise. You will be expected to take at least two presentations from each strand. A more detailed schedule of each presentation will be made available closer to the event date; stay tuned for updates on the "Institute Schedule" page.
What will I receive at the end of the Institute?
After you participate in the day-long program, you will be issued the ABCD Institute Diversity Training Certificate with your name printed. You will be able to pick this up during the Institute Closing Ceremony.
Where is the venue at?
The ABCD Institute will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac. One the day of the event, you will see signs on campus that lead you directly to the Institute venue. Please refer to the campus map here.
Where can I park? Is there any fee for parking?
You may park in the on-site parking lot for free. Please refer to the location of the parking lots here.
